The Lil Bowlinski
A downloadable game for Android
VR bowling simulation for Quest 2 or above
Try the apk file now. a lot less lag. I'll work on it tomorrow, but it should be more playable on the headset now.
Concept is that you use your controllers only as tracked objects for the game.
You'll need a large area free from obstructions and a soft landing area for your controller as you roll it down the lane.
Once the ball is rolled, a ball is returned to the cowling and can be picked up by passing the controller through that area.
The design calls for the ball to be rolled through there by some means (another person of some way of returning the controller there).
This should align the ball image with the controller and the user should be able to pick if up and orient the fingers to the physical holes on the ball.
All movement is by physically moving.
Trying to increase immersion by limiting the typical controller input used in so many games.
Have built a hollow ball to house one controller and a shoe that holds the other controller down on one foot.
Haptics are on for the foul line that will send vibrations to that controller if the user steps over the line. It lights up and has a typical foul line buzzer sound.
Haptics are also on for the air vent to simulate air flowing when turned on and more powerful the closer the ball (controller) is to the vent.
